I could use three times the space. Right now I have about 20 documents open (my current job has a lot of references that need to be checked to get the right wording). Seriously considering a couple more screens.

I initially said 14-16, but maybe it is 17". Whatever the case, it is big enough for my purposes. I wouldn't mind having a larger one, but it's not a priority.
I also have 2 laptops and occasionally use one as an extra screen, for example if I want to have a PDF open with photos and layout etc while I work on the text version on my main PC...

I work from a single, albeit large, laptop. I've never seen the need for additional screen space.

It's handy with these new wide screens where you can have two documents open side by side, rather than switching constantly between windows, but I don't feel the need for an array of six screens in front of me like a currency trader.
Perhaps it's because I started out using WordPerfect 5.1 in DOS on a 12" screen, no Internet and a paper dictionary in the wrong language, so I learned to be flexible...

This is such a luxury coming from a person raised on Macintoshes. 
I have two screens - 1 for work and 1 for reference materials, Internet searches, etc. As jobs become more complicated, I have to refer to a variety of different resources. And, I don't like running lots of memory-intensive programs at once on the same machine that will eat up valuable computer resources and slow down processing speeds.

Even 23" screens made in Korea are of excellent quality and very inexpensive. However, I do make sure that I buy a non-reflective screen with a dimming function to automatically correct screen brightness to match ambient light intensity. This is absolutely necessary to make my working environment gentle on my eyes.

One is 25" and three are 27" (2 work stations)
I don't see it as a luxury, I am not comfortable with small screens and can neither see nor work properly with them.
That's also why I don't have a smart phone.

I love my large screen (acquired from my son when he was upgrading to a Mac and no longer wanted a desktop PC). I also have a smaller screen next to it which I use for my web browser, e-mail, reference documents, etc, whilst the main screen holds the document I'm working on, be it in Trados or Wordfast. I hate it if I have to work on my laptop for whatever reason and only have one smallish screen to play with!

I usually have Trados on the middle one, Trados preview and term recognition on the left hand one, and the internet on the right hand one.
Having them portrait means if I'm working from a pdf into Word (something I'm not keen on, so much slower than in a CAT tool), I can see a whole page at a time at slightly bigger than A4, so then it's source on the left, Word in the middle and internet on the right.

Couldn't be bothered to go and find a ruler (and getting up like that tempts me to get distracted into doing other things, and anyway, highly unlikely I would find one anyway). So used my hands. Around 16" I would think. Anything much smaller wouldn't be very feasible, and much bigger would be great but not portable and I always work from a laptop both for that very portability and because there isn't room for anything bigger on my desk either.

Ah, I wonder if it says anything on the label? No, I don't think so, but some of the writing is terribly small.
Which reminds me, why don't laptops/smart phones etc have their model name ir number reasonably prominently displayed. It's not infrequent for me to be asked what model my mobile is, and my answer has to be "haven't the faintest". Maybe it's not shown because everyone else has the information in their head. Like my thirteen year old.

If I've measured it correctly (diagonally) mine is just 15". I have a small computer with a small desk and a small chair in a small room in a small town. But then I am quite small myself so that suits me fine. On the other hand, my income is rather small, too, at the moment. When I eventually decide to up my game and make big money working on big projects for big companies, I might invest in a big computer.

It's ridiculous that they insist on using imperial measurements in the United States. They are completely nonsensical. However, some things are still usually measured in inches, etc. including screens. We should change that.
I use two screens, a large laptop and an extra mid-sized screen connected as an extension of my laptop. I do not remember their exact sizes. It works fine. When I want to work away from my desk, which is quite often, I just unplug the HDMI cable from the side of my laptop and use one screen.
