Los sistemas convencionales, ¿son confiables? Las herramientas de reconocimiento óptico de caracteres (ROC), ¿son una solución? ¿Y las aplicaciones para recuento de palabras de las herramientas TAC?

Se mostrarán varias alternativas entre las cuales podrás elegir las más convenientes para cada caso en particular; se describirán ventajas y desventajas, y se darán ejemplos.

Recommendations

• For the visual section of the training course, we recommend that you have a 64kbps link. This means using an ISDN line or Broadband. Wireless connection is NOT recommended.
• For the audio section of the training course, we recommend that you have a headset or speakers.
• We recommend that you log in 30 minutes in advance of the start time to prepare for the training course.

Courses will be open half an hour before the start time. Please login before the start time to ensure that everything on your system is working correctly.

Bio: Traductora Pública de inglés, graduada en la Universidad de Buenos Aires en 1989. Miembro del Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires desde 1990 y de Proz.com desde 2003. Luego de su graduación, trabajó y tomó cursos de especialización en Inglaterra durante 6 meses. Desde 1992 a 1997 se desempeñó como traductora e intérpete para una empresa británica en Argentina. En 1998, creó su propia empresa, Buenos Aires Connections, que brindaba servicios de traducción, y enseñanza de inglés y español para empresas. Desde el año 2001, se dedica exclusivamente a la traducción, corrección y revisión de textos por cuenta propia, para empresas argentinas y agencias extranjeras. En el año 2004 fue contratada como correctora de pruebas de traducción por una agencia británica. Desde el 2005, ejerce, además, como Perito Traductor en los fueros civil, comercial y penal de la Capital Federal. Desde hace 8 años, su cliente más importante es una editorial médica argentina, para la cual ha traducido del español al inglés, más de 3 millones de palabras en publicaciones que se exportan a EE.UU, Europa y Asia.
