Source text - English Heavy oil accounts for more than double the resources of conventional oil in the world. We know where heavy oil is and we need heavy oil to satisfy current and future oil demand. For these reasons, heavy oil has become an important theme in our industry with an increasing number of operators getting involved or expanding their plans in this market around the world.
Many types of heavy oil exist and a variety of production processes are being used and developed to recover it. Heavy oil is different, and as a result of that, many technologies and services used for conventional oil face limitations with these highly viscous oils.

Sabemos dónde se encuentra el petróleo pesado y lo necesitamos para satisfacer la demanda, actual y futura. Por estas razones, el petróleo pesado se ha convertido en un tema importante en nuestra industria, con una creciente cantidad de operadores involucrados o ampliando sus planes en este mercado en todo el mundo.

I´m Electrical Engineer with long years of experience in the Petroleum Industry. I started with Schlumberger in June of 1997 as a Wireline Field Engineer in Argentina. In September of 2001 I went to Brazil as Latin America South Recruiter and in February of 2004 I moved to a Training Center in United States as an instructor. From there I went to Oman as Account Manager in charge of several clients (PTTEP, Occidental of Oman, Encana, DALEEL, HUNT...) until the end of 2005. Since 2006 I am translating for the Oil & Gas Industry.
