Swedish term

Jordbock

Swedish to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng Fire alarms
...and is this the same as "jordningsbock".

To do with earthing, of course, but I can't find the name of such a device.

Kabel från ”sista” jordbock till utrustning ska märkas med jordbockens beteckning

Discussion

Michael Larsson Nov 17, 2019:
Jordbock is the sloppy tech word it. The correct term for jordbock is "potentialutjämningsskena". As Deane pointed out. Swedish does treat earth and ground as "jord" without the technical difference. So "Equipotential busbar" seems like a good hybrid. This will be neutral from an earth/ground perspective.
Deane Goltermann Nov 17, 2019:
@Dave No sweat, I was just going to leave my entry as such...and leave the work to Paul. But I'd say you need a designation for type of busbar, since these are used for various purposes in electrical systems, and designated according to use.
Swedish seems to treat 'jordning' as synonymous to both earthing and grounding, but which are slightly different technically. So looking up earthing busbar and comparing it to the details in the context should help.

@Deane Hi
I got an email from Proz with the link to the picture and so found the answer without going onto the site, which I then did to enter it. I should have stopped to look at not just other entries but your reference. Shall I take off my answer so that you can put it up?
Paul Lambert (asker) Nov 16, 2019:
Not a typo I don't think it is a typo. Check this out.

Equipotential bonding bar

It has to refer to the bar where you connect all your ground lines, in order to make sure they have the same ground.

Hello
After Paul said it was not a typo and gave me a link with an image, I found this using software that searches for similar images on other websites.

I searched one of the article nos. from your Swe reference and got these two references -- SEB-06 Art.nr. 545012 and got these two references, from the same Irish company it seems. They might lead you further along... Michael's answer seems in the ballpark.
