I don’t know, I am not a developper. Maybe those colleagues who manipulate the job systems with scripts and bots could tell us, they seem to know the subject-matter very well. I wouldn’t be suprised if they used their scripts on Connects center to grab all the jobs and then messed something up. | | | Renew or not renew? | Jun 2 |
That’s the question I’m asking myself right now. it's a shame that Proz isn't as quick to solve problems as it is to remind me that my credit card will be no longer valid before the renewal date of my subscription (yes, I read that “We're 40+ people on the team and as in any company, we work in different departments”, but even so…). | | | ibz Local time: 23:52 English to German + ...
Just wondering and maybe someone can explain it to me: Why is it that Matthias Brombach's post from May 26 is online just now? As I see it, only members are allowed to post on this thread and he's a member as well. Are there two categories of members?
It doesn't make sense to hold back posts for several days, even if this is done for some disciplinary reason (I know that this can be done - been there as well.

Another reason for me not to renew my membership. ▲ Collapse | | | I love ProZ so much | Jun 3 |
It’s such a great place to have discussions and worth every penny.

As you are actually a paying member and not a freeloader (my mistake), why do your posts arrive so late?

Hello,
I am trying to use Pastey and when I copy-paste a sentence I get a message saying that I have reached the limits of the trial version and that I need to sign in to access the full version. I click "Sign in", but the problem persists!
Grateful if someone can help me with this.

Hi Redi, I replied earlier to your ticket. So just "closing" it here for sake of completeness.

Well thanks a lot proz.com | Jun 11 |
I did find 3 very nice offers in my connect inbox, of which existence I've learned today. Lol The worst thing about it, it must have seemed like I was ignoring a good PM from a good agency. There are, of course, the usual here's a peanut, dance monkey offers in there as well, but that comes with the territory.
What was wrong with the site inbox?
Argh, never mind. I've got a deadline, but yes, not all the notifications come in. I second, whoever said that.

Edit: Make that a few very nice offers. Sigh. I'll never know if those could have been some of my repeated collaborators for the past 2 years. This is seriously uncool.

If the messages are not from 5-10 years ago, you could reply explaining the problem and sending them your details. Who knows? Some might really become repeat customers. (I did and they replied that they would keep my details for reference).

I have. (All offers are from 2022 and 2023). I've also left a note on my profile page asking potential collaborators to use my email, not proz.com connect. I was just chiming in, since some participants in the thread seem to think that no damage could have been done to any of us, since those will have been all the usual low offers, and some say they've received all notifications. In my personal case, I never got most of the notifications, and some of those job offers were well worth accepting. (I retroactively found two notification in my main email account I ignored at the time, probably because they were from an agency I already had negotiated with and knew they aren't willing to pay my rates)
