Relatively speaking, this was more a business meeting than a social event, aimed at ID verification, clarification of new site features and discussion of local issues. For convenience, it was held in two sessions, on March 8 at midday and March 14 in the evening, to accommodate as many attendees as possible interested in verification, since some were coming from out of town. One of the burning issues brought up was the recent spate of low-priced jobs referred back to blank profiles and/or hotmail accounts. A suggestion came up to require more information from outsourcers to vouch for the legitimacy of job postings. Another observation was the risk that members with blank profiles could also be "playing as fast and loose" with the community rates as some outsourcers. Both sessions were adjourned over lunch and tapas, respectively.
