Dear Translators,

We are looking for User Experience (UX) testers for new Computer Aided Translation tool. This program, in addition to standard CAT features, allows to leverage speech recognition technology (Speech Aided Translation – SAT).

You can find how Release Candidate works here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feKcvlLKrl4

Speech recognizers currently supported in Aliado.SAT are available for the following languages: Chinese (traditional and simplified), Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

Since we need to test all features, including Speech Draft mode usability, please apply, if:
(1) You are native in one of languages listed above
(2) You have Windows Vista or Windows 7 in you native language version (i.e. with build-in speech recognizer for your language) - AND/OR – you have external speech recognizer (like ViaVoice or Dragon Naturally Speaking).

We need two testers for each of target languages listed above. After performing required testing task testers will be eligible to get one year subscription of Aliado.SAT license (worth 169 EUR). (Note: final version release is scheduled at end of March.) Time required to perform those tasks should not exceed 6 h.

Testing tasks includes processing of certain file types (and send back processed files for analysis), test usability of particular features and prepare a final report for each run.

1st run of tests will start on Friday 11th March 2011 and end on Wednesday 16th March 2011
2nd run of tests will start on Thursday 17th March 2011 and will take two days.

If you want to apply, please contact us at test@aliadoglobal.com. (I would really like to guarantee reply to everyone, but unfortunately I can’t – however, all important information will be posted here).

If you have further questions, please post it here or contact me directly.

Sincerely,
Michal Kleszczonek
