Characters in a document that are considered to separate words. In HTML 4.0, ASCII space characters, line breaks, tabs, form feeds, and zero‐width spaces are white space characters. One or more of these characters in the source document mark the end of one word and the beginning of another.

Somente espaço Devo estar perdendo algum detalhe... Isso tem tradução corrente há muito tempo, mesmo antes da informática, "whitespace" já era usado para a datilografia, sempre foi gerado pela barra de espaços, ora pois... Código ASC 32. Será que agora finalmente descubriram que o termo é racista? Deve ser isso, afinal se o papel ou a tela de fundo tiver uma côr diferente o espaço não vai ser branco, poderia ser espaço amarelo, negro, vermelho and so on... Então o certo deveria ser somente "espaço"... ou quem sabe "carácter espacial"... ;-)

Defining "whitespace" i'd like to know Coolbrowne's defination for " whitespace ".....i'm led to believe that any blank space which marks the end of a word and the beginning of the next can be described as "Espaço em branco".....
