Dutch term

scherp en inhoudelijjk sterk

Dutch to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
Yes, another old chestnut.

I take this to mean that they are well-informed about the developments and generally clued up on what's going on. I've thought of 'which keeps them sharp and on the ball', but I feel they're a bit synonymous. Any suggestions?

keen/astute/on edge and knowledgeable

Peer comment(s):

agree jarry (X) : I like 'knowledgeable' but not the other three suggestions. Especially 'astute' and 'on edge' are not appropriate in this context.

Thanks Jarry ,don't like astute and on edge myself. Can't delete them, but would if I could.

2 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Yes, keen and knowledgeable. Or, to get away from the 'enthusiastic' meaning of keen, perhaps 'keeps them sharp and knowledgeable'. Thanks."
