Non solo potrebbe trattarsi di un refuso ma addirittura di un uso grammaticalmente non corretto...
In poche parole, poiché i due verbi vengono spesso confusi, l'autore del testo potrebbe aver sbagliato, magari nel tentativo di innalzare il registro.
