English term
double up

Medical (general)
Psychiatry
The term is used in a psychiatry manuscript about homeless teenage mothers. I can understand the concept of doubling up but I can't think of how to write it in Portuguese without having to use a very long explanation. The complete sentence is "During the preceding 5 years, 85% had doubled up and more than 50% had been in other emergency housing facilities".
