Discussion

Tb. encontra aqui um glossário em FR, EN, IT e ES que talvez seja útil: http://medwet.org/aboutwetlands/wetland-terminology/
Talvez estas definições ajudem in-channel dam – a waterbody that has been created by the unnatural accumulation of water behind an artificial barrier constructed across a channel.
off-channel dam – an artificial depression that has been excavated for the storage of water (includes
“irrigation ponds”, “farm dams”). Water accumulates within these ‘dams’ through surface runoff, precipitation, and the diversion or pumping of water from other locations (such as from rivers via canals/pipelines, or from groundwater via wind pumps).
