6.3 SEQUENCE OF DEVELOPMENT
The sequence of events for development of the project can be summarised as follows:
1. Completion of open pit mining past the 3750mRL bench
2. Construction of a ramp from the haulage ramp down to the 3750mRL bench
3. Establish services for project – power, service water, compressed air and dewatering line
4. Support the Pit wall around the portal
5. Drill geotechnical drill holes in the path of the decline
6. Establish portals
7. Construct Exploration decline – development cycle sequence generally as follows with
advance expected of approximately 1 cycle per day:
a. Drill blast holes in face approximately 3.2m in length
b. Load blast holes with explosives and blast face
c. Water down blasted material for dust suppression
d. Remove blasted material from the face with an underground loader and truck
e. Scale any loose material from walls and backs
f. Install grouted rebar bolts in backs and walls
g. Spray fibrecrete on walls and backs
h. Re‐enter to drill next face
8. Extend mining services as the development advances sufficiently – service water,
compressed air, dewatering and ventilation
9. Drill diamond drill holes from drill locations once the advancing decline face progresses
sufficiently past these positions
10. Install refuge chamber when appropriate location has been developed
