Thank you all! Actually, these factor fractions are listed with many, many other drugs, so perhaps we had better translate it as "formulation" in Chinese, which may make more sense in the context. Is it possible? Thank you very much in advacne!

arising from distillation I think. Different "fractions" vaporise at different temperatures.

I think you are describing a coagulation chain, where all the factors have to be present in order to have a good coagulation (contact with air triggers factor I which triggers factor II, which triggers factor III...). So in my opinion fraction should mean a part (of the coagulation chain).
