Italian term

A parziale conferma di detta mia affermazione

Italian to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Hello all,

I am having a bit of trouble putting this in natural English while keeping all of the original meaning. I think the Italian itself is a bit odd:

A parziale conferma di detta mia affermazione, la posizione processuale di “imputato libero” che il sig x ha assunto nell’ambito di tal procedimento.

My attempt:

As a partial confirmation of the above explanation, the procedural position of "defendant not in custody" that Mr. x had during the proceeding.

Thank you in advance!

Mr X's legal position..

Try turning the sentence around:
Mr X's legal position during the proceedings as "defendant not in custody" partially confirms my statement above/this statement/view.
Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : This solves the problem of the missing verb.

One possible solution.

My above assertion is in part confirmed

You have to impute the verb "to be" when translating. If used in passive voice then the sentence structure can be maintained.
