Thank you! Generally, these would be good options, as well as "an acting...". But in this specific case, I suspect, the talk is about one specific government in one specific country. And I guess I know which one

: this is of course a literal translation of "действующая" - but note that Eng does not use this word this way in this context.... no matter what shows up on google - //Oh I'm sure it does - just not suitable for this passage i.m.o.
