Yes, I'm troubled by this too, since chemically, by definition, all plastics are organic because they contain hydrocarbons. So depending on the context, I would translate it in two ways:
1) just "plastics" [leave out "organic"]
2) or "organic plastics". I think the latter term refers to plastics made from organic/bioorganic materials such as soybeans, etc. In English we also have such terms as "organically grown", etc.
