agree philgoddard : According to Wikipedia, this is the most common term in the US and 'kidney tray' is UK.

agree Chema Nieto Castañón : With phil; emesis basin (US) or kidney tray/dish (UK).

neutral Laurel Clausen : I have only ever heard of these as kidney dishes/trays in the US. But I suppose it depends on the context. Medical personnel may use emesis basin, but not the average person on the street.

Kidney dish / Emesis basin

I know from personal experience that, at least here in the UK, they're called "kidney dishes" by medical staff, though I think the technically correct term is an "emesis basin".

agree Carol Gullidge : Kidney dish, but Cecilia did get there first!
