This is a key term in an article on sexual function and mode of delivery in primiparous women. The author has used "self-perceived impairment of intercourse" in her English versión of the abstract but I am far from convinced. First, I prefer "self-reported" but I can't find an expression for "deterioro" which convinces me, either. "impaired sexual function" is a possibility but sexual function and intercourse are obviously not exactly the same thing. Here is some context:

self-reported decline in coital relations
"Coital relations" does seem to be used in formal studies of the sort in which the posted text appears, and seems to accurately reflect "relaciones sexuales coitales" while eliminating the redundant "sexual." See, for example:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/490662
I think that "decline" is important in order to make clear that the quality of the relations in question had previously been better.

Also relevant here is that "deterioro" is used throughout the Spanish version of the DSM-V to translate "decline."

Note from asker:
Thanks, Robert, I was steering away from decline due to the connotation of less frequency but if it's in the DSM-V ... |
