Hello
I am wondering if it is possible to have all speech on a video automatically transcribed into e.g. a Word-file? A client has asked me for the translation of 45 minutes of video; they don't need subtitling, just the translation, so that their HQ abroad is able to understand what is being said. I have only access to the video online (from a broadcaster).
The source is Danish/English, the target French.

Looks like this software does not automatically transcribe the text for you, you still have to type it yourself.

I've used it once for a client, but I don't know how uploading works, if you need a paid account etc. as I was just provided the link to the already uploaded video.
It transcribes spoken content into subtitles and you can translate them directly side-by-side. The transcript is not perfect but acceptable if you just need it for the translation.

Edit: I just saw there is also a pure transcription feature: https://www.happyscribe.com/automatic-transcription-software
Some AI tools are reportedly able to do this for you. I can't name any from the top of my head, I have this information in my private PC. I check this evening or tomorrow.

This is excellent - but that only means it gets 90-95% of the speech correctly. If you're expected to provide a correct transcription, you still need to check the text against the audio and edit it (may be a lot of work depending on audio quality).

I have tried Turboscribe. It worked fine for me. You can use it for free to a limited extent (quite big though, three transcripts a day).
Also Subtitle Edit can do that for free either but it is not that intuitive as Turboscribe and it would take time to learn the program.
