It sounds kind of odd, to think of a client, who is not the translator, having a translation process, when they're not the ones doing the translation. I guess what is meant is the process that they have in place to procure, receive, and pay for a translation?
With end clients, I get a lot more pictures "sent by my X-phone", a few payments via the phone, quicker responses again because of the phone being at hand wherever they go. With end clients, I get a lot more pictures "sent by my X-phone", a few payments via the phone, quicker responses again because of the phone being at hand wherever they go. For pickups I no longer give directions since everybody seems to have GPS, and some seem to use their phones as a kind of doorbell when they get there.

Right now I can remember one client that thankfully moved from GTM to MemoQ and changed the entire process (improved it a lot, AMOF), and one that started using Plunet for invoicing purposes. But there were certainly others I can't recall right away. We (individuals and companies) are all constantly changing, most of the time for better, and this may add or suppress a few steps on the way. | | | Muriel Vasconcellos (X) United States Local time: 13:11 Spanish to English + ...
My biggest client has streamlined their invoicing system. Now, I just click on "Accept" when I agree to do the job, and once I deliver it, the payment is processed automatically, usually within the week. Before, their system was extremely cumbersome. This is a huge relief.

On the other hand, they are also in the process of introducing a new "statistical" machine translation system that I'm more than a bit skeptical about because the sources for the system (corpora of past translations) were often of very poor quality. I'm already seeing some scary results.

Some of my clients bagan sending me automated Xbench reports after the job is done. They have a lot of false-positives, and I avoid working with them now.
