Bio:I am a native Catalan and Spanish speaker with a Master's in English and German Philology. I studied in Barcelona (Catalonia), Groningen (The Netherlands) and Wuerzburg (Germany) and several subjects were translation courses.
I live in Southern Germany and work partl...y as a translator and second language tutor since 17 years.
My love for languages started as an early teenager; that's why I always try to learn new ones and, because of that, I also understand much Portuguese, Italian and French, as well as some Dutch.
My specialties are: marketing, business and commerce, consumer electronics (photo, video, TV, audio, digital media, office, printing, informatics, telecomm, energy, household appliances, tools and games), logistics, localisation, linguistics and literature.

Bio:Born in Wales, studied electrical engineering in Liverpool and Nottingham, with part-time supplementary courses in German at Liverpool College of Commerce (without examination). Came to Germany after completing studies and worked as project eng. for automation systems (...oil, gas, water) at AEG for 5 years. I then moved to Ferranti Automation Systems in Wiesbaden as sales engineer for IT systems to the the electricity, gas and water transmission industry. After collapse of Ferranti, I opened my own business in Germany as international consultant in the same fields. Spent 3 years exclusively with Control Data Corp, Minneapolis, acting as sales manager for power system IT in A, CH, D. Multiple consulting contracts with international engineering companies in Europe and US. Many of these companies were screaming out for professional technical and contractual translations, which I agreed to provide after becoming travel-weary flying around the globe several times per year. I now stay at home and enjoy passing on my lingual and technical experience to professionals requiring appropriate documentation.
