I don't know Chris, so I missed that one. Anyway, happy to hear that. Though I do know there are translators and other freelancers around who work like this for real | | | Some of us do know him from other topics | Nov 2, 2021 |

Yes. That's the ones he's making fun of – or 'that’s the ones of whom he’s making fun' in case of pedantic criticism of ending on a preposition.

"...of whom..." I won't quibble about the "that's".

I always turn off my phone in the evening. Even electronics need a break. Plus, getting a good night's sleep is just as important as getting another project. Quality matters and is only possible when we're feeling our best. | |

I'm primarily in French mode for the time being, so it's good to have a complimentary, interactive, biological editor feature here even though it occasionally misfires. | | | Mario Freitas Brazil Local time: 15:34 Member (2014) English to Portuguese + ...
No, but I leave it very far away from my room.
I have three kids. So, if it rings enough to wake me up at night, I'll suppose it's something urgent or very important.
But I disabled any and all beeps and rings for notifications other then phone calls and Whatsapp (where I have clients, but no groups at all). | | | matt robinson Spain Local time: 19:34 Member (2010) Spanish to English This is what the infomation society has come to! | Nov 3, 2021 |
Silence by day,
Airplane by night,

Cos this one is... not really worth a serious answer. | | | In all seriousness | Nov 3, 2021 |
I don’t turn my phone off at night because
a) None of my clients would dream of contacting me at night
b) None of my clients ever ring me any more anyway
c) Those 0898 numbers… | |

Muted, but not off | Nov 3, 2021 |
Muted, but not off. It is also my alarm clock, so I can't turn it off. But it's muted at night.
I see someone mentions airplane mode. Are there phones on which airplane mode also mutes the phone? On my latest phone, airplane mode disables Wi-Fi etc. but it doesn't mute the phone. | | | Mr. Satan (X) English to Indonesian Strange concept | Nov 3, 2021 |

I never remember airplane mode also double-functions as silent mode, even before the smartphone era.

No, I never turn off my phone at night. I usually play with the mobile phone and fall asleep directly after being sleepy. | | | Pages in topic: < [1 2] | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: Do you switch off your mobile phone at night?
