Dear Colleagues,
I'm writing because we need some important information. I have an offer from a translation company from your country, United Kingdom and I would like to get some information, because these SEO tools and meta data creation are not very popular in The US.

Can you please provide me with the links that could provide me with the information about this SEO and Metadata creation?
Do we need a Special software for this?
Your prompt answer will be really appreciated. Spanish native speakers feel free to write me in Spanish.

Hi. Most them are having both basic and premium services. And for any Google tool you may have to register with the website you have. Please avoid for paid one at this stage.
Regarding paid software - if possible avoid purchasing SEO software just for writing SEO friendly content OR doing key word research.

Meta description and key words are something that will give you the core idea about the Meta description and key words' content and search engine gives them value for giving ranking in search results for that particular key word. [ Just to make you understand, you can compare it with a 'heading' and 'small description' about any news item or similar thing in any news portal].
Most probably you just have to write the content, rest things will be done from your client side only. So you do not have to worry about how to create tags and all. All you have to do is write content in such a way that gets high rank in search engine results.

Customers usually appreciate honesty above all, at least that was always my experience everytime I told my customers that one particular assignment was not within my fields of expertise and therefore I kindly had to reject it. Are you sure about that? I.e. that US businesses do not use SEO. If so, I'm surprised at how high up they manage to get their results on Google, etc.
If you want to get into SEO, I suggest you study the subject in depth. I've only done a 1-day course with a specialist SEO agency, but it was extremely useful. This only focused on copy, keyword & meta data creation - we have in-house staff for analysis.
Anyone outsourcing this kind of work really has to ensure that the copywriter works closely with their analysis team. Otherwise it's a waste of time & money.

Thank you Madeline. I'm not saying that they are not used. I'm just saying that they don't ask us for translations using SEO in the past. They have asked us for translations using translation softwares such as Trados and wordfast but not this one in particular.

Are you sure about that? I.e. that US businesses do not use SEO. If so, I'm surprised at how high up they manage to get their results on Google, etc.
If you want to get into SEO, I suggest you study the subject in depth. I've only done a 1-day course with a specialist SEO agency, but it was extremely useful. This only focused on copy, keyword & meta data creation - we have in-house staff for analysis.
Anyone outsourcing this kind of work really has to ensure that the copywriter works closely with their analysis team. Otherwise it's a waste of time & money.

For metatags you do not need any software to create them they can be done using notepad. It you have to actually create them in the code files for the websites that can be done in notepad but this will all be specified by the client, if they don't tell you then I would run a mile!
