Russian term

землячество

Russian to English Marketing Marketing presentation about a city
The text says Самарское землячество

There is no context given. It is just an item in a list of organizations that Samara is part of.

I found the following web page http://xn--e1alide.xn--p1ai/competitor/regionteam/type192 that mentions Самарское землячество. It seems to be an organization of people from that area which produces folk handicrafts and does folk dancing/singing.

I was thinking about writing "community organization" but this doesn't seem to be entirely suitable here.

community, brotherhood

According to reference below, землячество is a community people belong to by sharing a place of birth or residence. I think "community" or "brotherhood" is suitable here.

agree Allison Keating : community, but not brotherhood (as the term is not gender specific in this context).

agree mrrafe : But I don't know an equivalent English noun: "community" lacks geographic connotation of "zemlya" and cultural/anthropological element of arts shown on Samarskoye website. Maybe "cultural tradition" or "regional culture."
