Квалификация - это в дипломе, а работал ли он инженером-экономистом, старшим инженером, инженером по труду и зарплате - неизвестно, то есть должности могли меняться, повышаться и т.д. (Это насчет employed as ... since 1986). Но в англоязычных странах они чаще измеряют стаж в годах, а не пишут год начала работы по специальности.
