My experience as a translator spans over 35 years. My native languages are English and Italian. Though born in California, my mother spoke only Italian to me as a child.  I have translated extensively into both UK and US EN. I am currently residing in Florence, Italy,  hence my knowledge of Italian language and culture is broad. However, I still maintain a residence in CA. My most important qualities are reliability and punctual delivery as well as my excellent use of English to communicate the entire range of meanings found in the source texts I translate. My main areas of expertise are the translation from Italian to English of Medical, Pharmaceutical, Clinical Trial correspondence, Finance and Economics and Technical texts. I also taught Translation at the University of Florence for nearly 15 years. I use Trados, MemoQ, Memsource, MS Office and Acrobat.
