I work very regularly (meaning every month) with 5 agencies, plus a good number of “occasionals" and one-offs...
My customer base contains 49 agency clients with which I have had some sort of business over the past 8 years.
2019 to date: 5 agencies
2018: 11
2017: 10
Potentially: all agencies in the solar system

On average, I work with 10-12 agencies each month. Because not all of them send me work every month, I have 15-20 agencies I regard as regulars (clients I work with more than once or twice a year).
I had assumed this would be the norm (based on nothing but my own experience) - I find it fun and enlightening to see this is apparently not the norm at all!

But most of my work comes from one agency. | | | More than 10 | Mar 13, 2019 |
Much easier than to deal with direct clients. They take charge of the "annoying" part of the translation process, pay regularly and send constant jobs.
The bad part is: some of them propose meagre rates; the sad part is: a lot of colleagues accept those rates.

More than 10 for sure. There are 87 agencies I've provided services for since 2014. Many of them were "one-timers", but I do not enter in my client spreadsheet any potential clients or people who said "ok, you're part of the team now", but never sent any jobs. So 87 have actually sent me jobs and paid in the past five years.

This year, I have already translater for 13 agencies, but only 6 of them are regular, meaning they send me jobs every month regularly, and 7 of them always show up sporadically, i.e. 3 to 10 jobs per year.
So, it's a bit hard to answer this poll with some accuracy, because "working for" an agency implies regularity. You can't consider an agency that sends you two jobs per year or one job in two years... ▲ Collapse

Looks like I have billed nine agencies in the past couple of years.
Four of those are all part of the same group but I bill to different people using different systems so I count them separately.
Then there's another group I work for, I send the bills to the same address for both of them so I count that as one. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: How many agencies do you work with?
