I have been living alone since my youngest daughter left the nest some 25 years ago. In fact, she has been living with me again since December last year during the never-ending works in her apartment. Not that I am complaining, we get along quite well and I love having her around…
So, she left me out! How could she?

Me, my partner, and a young lodger, daughter of a friend of mine.
And we tend to have a lot of visitors, our children, a former neighbour who still comes back to Paris for work, and friends and family from elsewhere coming to visit us and Paris, so we often have a houseful.

The eldest is now studying 50 km away from home, but we still support her, paying rents and expenses.
