When I get angry, I... Sep 12

I pray to God, the father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and I talk to him about what's going on and he always helps me.

I’m kind of imperturbable. Nothing makes me angry, I get worried, frustrated, sad, annoyed… It depends on the situation, but generally I follow my father’s advice: I take a few, slow deep breaths and count to 10.

I need something more effective to cool me down when I'm in full-on Klingon rage and need to get back to my calm Vulcan side.
Remember the guitar amp opening scene from "Back to the Future"?
It's kind of like that, but in my soundproof music room where I don't end up crushing the amp.

Playing some cool, fast riffs at high volume works wonders, e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URhmC865SGI

I use my breathing technics which always succeed in calming me down, aside from strengthening the respiratory track.

I wish I were like you in this respect. When I get angry, I shout it out, and within a minute all rage has gone. Maybe one good thing of me, I can't stay angry, it is a momentarily emotion.

Especially at the moment, Portugal is on fire and people are suffering! I think it's the first time I've seen such a serious situation.
I woke up today and I don't know if it's sunny. The sky is completely grey.
It's very hard not to be angry by fires and to know that at any moment you'll lose everything, your home, your assets, your job and even your life.
Anything that harms human life makes me angry! And ‘angry’ is too simple to describe the feeling...

I access my inner child Sep 17

I hold my breath until I turn blue, fall on the floor and cry until I fall asleep.

Just out of concern, are you in the middle of it?

Where I live, a fire broke out very close by on Monday evening. I've had no light for just a few moments (thank God!), and one of the TVs isn't working. I was very afraid that the flames would reach the city and I'm still.
But this is nothing compared to the lives that have already been taken, many people injured, dead animals and destroyed properties.
The worst affected areas are here in the north where I am and the centre of Portugal.
The air is unbreathable, the smell of burning wood is unbearable, the day seems like night, everything is grey and only ash is falling from the skies... I've been living with my windows closed since Monday.
I hope the rain comes soon...
Unfortunately, this happens every year and in several countries. It's heartbreaking! It's not enough what we're experiencing in this world, between wars and pandemics, and much more, let alone this.
Thank you so much for your concern.

.... like we say in Holland (= take care, succes).

Sounds terrible, but FWIW, I heard on the radio that it might rain tomorrow in Portugal. Lets hope for the best. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Boa sorte,

Rob
