I did deliberately send them all some shots from when I was a pro bodybuilder - baby oil, fake tan, rippling torso, itsy bitsy bikini, the works. Best bit of marketing I ever did. | | | Martha Schwan Brazil Local time: 03:53 Member English to Portuguese + ...
Yes, I have sent a project to a wrong client. Then, I got a response stating that that file did not belong to that specific client. What a embarassment!! | | | Axelle H. France Local time: 07:53 Member (2017) English to French

Once or twice I forgot to attach the file. That’s why I got into the habit of attaching files before I write the message, opening the attached files to be sure they are all there and checking my email before I send it. Better safe than sorrow! | | | |
Twice I sent an email to the wrong PM with the same first name.
(It can happen when the system suggests different names and you accidentally click on the wrong one).
The client just returned and said it must be for someone else.
Of course, it is a bit embarrassing, but it is not a secret that I work for other clients and in fact, it has happened that a client sent me an email which was not meant for me or called me by the wrong name.

So, just trying to be careful, also checking attached files before sending them off and not sending the wrong version. ▲ Collapse | | | Jack Doughty United Kingdom Local time: 06:53 Russian to English + ... In memoriam
Had two women called Anastasia (Nastya) on my list. One looked like a promising client though I never got any work from her. The other was one I eventually refused to work with because she insisted on literal word-for-word translation. I thought of them as the Nicer Nastya and the Nastier Nastya respectively. One email to the Nastier one was sent to the Nicer one, fortunately not with anything objectionable it it.

My latest OoO advance notice, where I put the e-mail addresses of my major agency clients in CC instead of CCi.
I have already sent an invoice to the wrong agency. It has also happened with a translation.
I forget to attach files once every quarter.
My worst blunder was when I mistook a PM with another from another agency I no longer worked with (same unusual name). My worst blunder was when I mistook a PM with another from another agency I no longer worked with (same unusual name). In that e-mail, I listed all the issues (payment terms, rates, CAT discounts, etc.) I wanted tackled before resuming cooperation. That was even more embarrassing, but no harm done there either.
The good thing is that I apply blanket rates and uniform treatment to all my agency clients. That way, if I accidentally send an invoice to the wrong agency, the recipient doesn't feel being taken advantage of when they see the rates or payment terms I apply.

In common with Teresa, from time to time I have forgotten to attach the file. In large part because I have forgotten to check whether the file has successfully uploaded before clicking send.

I did almost send a PM a photo of my cat intended for my brother, but I caught myself just in time. 😁
Aside from that, the worst I've done is send an email to the wrong agency, politely telling them that they were late to pay me. The agency that received it actually always pays me strictly on time, so I was mortified when I realized my mistake! | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: Have you ever accidentally sent a personal photo, instant message, or email to a client?
