Nowadays, my main client sends me small texts almost every day, mainly news items for the company website. I've just done my admin for February and these small jobs only amounted to just under 1500 words for the month. However, that is compensated by the work I do for them through their online platform, which came to just over 8000 words this month.
The rest of my clients are less regular and tend to be busier at certain times of the year than others.

It depends how regular “regular” is. I have a long-standing customer who sends small jobs almost every day, but other regulars with whom I have been working for ages send larger jobs weekly, monthly or even quarterly.

My most regular client sends me work every other day or every three days.
Other regular clients send me work every other week.
Some send me work every month. Some, every other month.
Theses are all regulars, as I've been working for them for several years.
There are others who send me work sporadically and could also be considered regulars.
In other words, there is no proper answer to this poll.

By the way, I am not native English, but shouldn't it be '....sends me work' in stead of '....send me work'?

Most of my jobs are quite long, up to 50,000 words. I can only squeeze in a few short jobs while I'm working on a long project.
Regular and regular | Mar 2, 2020 |
Strictly speaking, my most regular clients are the ones who only send me their annual report.
The most frequent ones send stuff several times a month.
Just don’t get me started on “regular” portions...

Regular, as in "periodic"?
Well, each client of mine will typically inundate me with work for about three solid weeks at a time and then I won't see him for months. While one client seems to have hibernated, it will be some other client's turn to bombard me with work...and then that client disappears for a while. There are probably a good 7-8 clients who do this. When they disappear, I am afraid that either they were dissatisfied or that they have gone out of business, but a sure as the su... Little jobs weekly, big jobs less frequent.
regular doesn't mean periodic | Mar 3, 2020 |
One client of mine is ongoing, they send me small daily drops for two weeks with a week break, while the others seem to send jobs from time to time, with no definite period between the jobs. And certainly, one off jobs occur as well.
