Hello Seth,
yes, there is a video. However, I suggest that you might wish to wait a couple of days to allow ProZ.com to increase the number of attendees.
I have just sent a support request to ProZ, requesting that they allow more of our colleagues to attend the webinar, because they are the only ones to increase the course limit.
I'm looking forward to "seeing" you on January 15th.
Best regards,
Thayenga

Access to video recording and training materials.
Jan 15, 2014
I registered and paid for this seminar but was not able to attend. I wish to access the recording, which according to the information on this page should be available for one week. How can I access it? I found it in the video centre but it is asking me to pay again.
Thank you for your help.

Hello Michelle,
I have checked your "My videos" page, http://www.proz.com/videos/my_videos , and see that you should have access to the video normally. Also, I have resent a link to training materials where you can find the book and the presentation mentioned on the webinar.
Hope this helps.

Since I am a relative beginner in the translation world after this workshop I have more security and confidence about myself and how to approach the client. Looking forward to read the book by Thaenga. And definitely I will re-check the record of the webinar to be sure I didn't miss valuable piece of information.
NB: it could be useful to make a list of abbreviations and/or terms which were used in the presentation. Not everyone is familiar with them. But all unknown terms were clarified during the workshop in Q&A section."
"Having no formal training in translating, editing or proofreading, I was pleased to find definitions..." Read more that are easy to remember and that can be applied to jobs I am assigned. Most jobs are rarely proofreading, strictly speaking, since I usually work from translated texts. The part about payment by the word vs by the hour was lost on me. In Italy, payment is mostly by the cartella (page based on keystrokes, spaces included) which she did not mention."
